About Ryan
So you want to know a little more about me? I guess I'll start from the beginning. I was born in Biloxi Mississippi on Jan 29th, 1981. I only lived there for a grand total of two weeks since my family moved to Utah after I was born. I am the youngest of six kids. My parents are Richard and Carrie Segeberg, and my siblings are (from oldest to youngest): Rick, Shelly, Wendy, Tricia, and Heath. During the course of my life we have lived all over the United States. My Dad was in the Air Force when I was younger, but we still seemed to move every two years even after he retired. After Mississippi and Utah, we also lived in Montana, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, several more cities in Utah (Taylorsville, Tooele, and Layton), and Washington State.
My parents moved to Washington in 1998, but I stayed in Utah and graduated in 1999 from Northridge High School in Layton. Afterwards I moved to Washington State to live with my parents. I worked at Exegen Technology for about nine months while I prepared to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served a two year mission for the church in Oakland, California and I returned to Washington in May 2002. After returning home I attended Green River Community college for a quarter, then I transferred to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am now attending BYU and I am studying Computer Science. I hope to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in April 2006. I am also working for the LDS Foundation at their help desk. I spend the bulk of my time at work fixing various computer problems for Donor Liaisons and support staff located on BYU Campus.
In November 2003 I started dating this amazing girl, Amanda Pettit. We hit it off right away and got along really well. We began spending a lot of time together (which resulted in me failing my Calculus 2 class) and found that we had a lot in common. We have many of the same beliefs, life goals, and desires. We were officially engaged on January 24th, 2004 and were married in the Timpanogos Temple on May 22nd, 2004.
